Furst Aid is an object with a "Utility Fetish". Much like how rappers pimp out everyday objects in their music videos and on red carpet walks, this luxuriated first aid kit uses fur for it's status symbol properties, not for its inherent (and original) functional qualities: to keep one warm.

It is also a highly ironic statement on humanity's anthropocentric world view: that man has dominion over his environment and is the central and most significant entity in the universe. The first aid kit is a very utilitarian object, it is a simple vessel that holds contents meant to tend to a person's physical wellbeing. In Furst Aid, the unfortunate calf gave up its flesh in order for man to stay in good health. Fur is certainly not the ideal material to fabricate a box of this kind, and thus is used solely for the owner's own vanity.
